Did every OLineman get a penalty today? Holding kills drives. Period. Some of the Phil runs weren’t not even effected by the holds which makes it even more demoralizing. I thought the playcalling was good and has improved over the last few weeks. They stuck to the run more and took some shots downfield. The group that has seemed to play worse and worse are the big boys up front. Injuries have hurt them but they need to step up.

All great points! The holding penalties in the run game reallllllly hurt the team today. They’ve been excellent in run blocking all season, but the penalties hurt big time today

Glad I went hunting instead of watching the game.

It seems like the Broncos are the worst team at not getting caught holding. Every team holds, every down, its just a matter of being good enough to not get caught. Although, I do see Von in a chokehold multiple times a game and never getting a call. It just seems to me that the Broncos always get the short end of the stick when it comes to penalties, especially on the road. Throwing Tyreek on the ground and pushing his head in the dirt? totally worthy of a flag. Some of those holds on the big Lindsey runs though, could have gone uncalled. I think these excessive flags are ruining the game. Every week I sit at the bar watching the Broncos and I overhear people watching other games, “any flags?” or “no flags, no flags” on every big play. People should be able to enjoy their teams big plays instead of worrying about a penalty on every play. I guess I’m just a fan of old school football, let them play. The outcome of games shouldn’t come down to a few bad penalties, but in the end I guess everyone gets the same rule book.

I think a lot of people are feeling your pain! Not sure if that helps or hurt, Mr. Freeze.

Just rewatched game. Your point about small penalties killing momentum is dead on. They made it look like it was Vaderbuilt v Alabama with their just clueles penalties reinforcing they weren’t in Chiefs league.

I think we need to have the discussion. How many coaches retain jobs after a 5-11 season followed by a 6-10 direction. Especially in a city that expects playoffs year after year. As much as I like Vance he has never instilled belief that he is up to the job. Most coaches crash in first job, so not saying he can’t be a good NFL coach. But it isn’t happening here or anytime soon.

We talk about the gaps from Elway to Manning to…
But this team has also had gaps between Reeves to Shanahan to Kubiak. Lots of good coordinators in between those men but…lots of failure and unmet expectations. Finding the next great coach is more important than next Elway or Manning (who are generational players). I mean, the Eagles won last year with a backup! Because their coach had “it.” Like Josh McDaniels and Wade, Vance at this point doesn’t have “it.” And he doesn’t look any closer to finding that…

Just needs to be asked…when do you make the change?
